The first two weeks I lived - except in the surf camp - always only in houses with pool, which is nice, but just not the same travel experience as living in the hostel.

So after my first more that beautiful hostelday, the 2nd day in the hostel after little sleep started with breakfast in the Conscious kitchen (my favorite place) with my favorite sharkygirl.

Later in the afternoon I sat in the community area with the people from the hostel, smoked weed and talked about the effects of traveling on our personal growth.

That is just the most beautiful thing when somehow 8 nationalities meet at one table, people from different places, backgrounds, with such diverse experiences and one thing unites us: traveling and sitting together in a hostel in Cape Town and sharing this moment and a joint.

I bought white grapes at Woolworth food, labeled "Cotton candy grapes" and when you taste them you understand why, because they taste more like gummy bears than grapes as you know them. So we enjoyed the genetically engineered grape snack and chatted about the food industry nowadays.

At some point one of the group started inviting everyone who came by to the social gathering in the evening, where we went to a bar together. Until then the social gathering was only 3 people but in the end we went to 6 and it ended up with us doing a barhopping in kloof- and longstreet. So we went to yours truly, tigersmilk, a club like thing with a mix of Eminem, Bruno Mars and Bad Bunny.

The last stop of our pubcrawl was an Indian fast food restaurant where I had to discuss in a 15min discussion whether they can prepare something vegan, after they offered me as such a meal "vegetables with chicken". They managed at some point and these noodles have saved me in the end from being hungover.

The hostel is really nice for socializing but since it is directly on the longstreet, it is noisy at night and even with earplugs you can hear everything.

In this night is also my friend arrived in Cape Town and unfortunately her suitcase was not loaded on the plane, so she came to me in the morning so I can give her a few things. Next stories, next chapter…
